Well-started Tliltocatl albopilosus (Curly Hair Tarantula), approximately 0.75 inches in size. This species is known for its distinctive curly setae, giving it a unique “fuzzy” appearance, along with its calm demeanor and hardy nature.

A classic New World beginner species, T. albopilosus is highly recommended for keepers of all experience levels. They are generally slow-moving, tolerant of husbandry mistakes, and display a reliable feeding response. This makes them an excellent choice for both first-time tarantula owners and experienced keepers alike.

As slings and juveniles, they may exhibit light burrowing behavior, especially when provided with deeper substrate. As they mature, they tend to become more visible and adopt a terrestrial lifestyle, often sitting out in the open.
