A New World species, Davus sp. “Panama” is well-suited for beginners and intermediate keepers. They are generally hardy with a good feeding response, though they can be quick and somewhat skittish, often choosing to retreat rather than stand their ground.
As slings and juveniles, they are enthusiastic burrowers and will benefit from deeper substrate to create tunnels and retreats. With time, they may spend more time visible but will typically maintain a burrow.
