Well-started Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Green Bottle Blue Tarantula), approximately 1 inch in size. This species is highly sought after for its incredible coloration—featuring vibrant blue legs, a bright orange abdomen, and a metallic green carapace as it matures.
A hardy New World species, C. cyaneopubescens is suitable for beginners and experienced keepers alike. They are fast-moving but generally not defensive, preferring to retreat quickly. They have a strong feeding response and are very active, making them an exciting display species.
Green Bottle Blues are known for their heavy webbing behavior and will quickly fill their enclosure with dense web structures. Providing plenty of anchor points such as cork bark, branches, or decor will encourage natural webbing. Unlike many terrestrial species, they prefer a dry setup with good ventilation and minimal moisture.
